WANTED
Hi there, I\'m hoping you might be able to help me!

We work for JCT600, a Yorkshire-based car retailer which has a number of dealerships across the north of England.

This year it is celebrating the 50 year anniversary of its Vauxhall dealership - quite a milestone! We\'re hoping to promote this with a press release and some photography which we\'d like to feature a 1960 Cresta or Victor.

I don\'t suppose you have any Yorkshire-based contacts who might be able to help with this?

Many thanks and look forward to hearing from you!

Hi
I have just applied for membership of the club having bought a PB series Cresta FDU577C from Mathewsons in N. Yorkshire. I take delivery next week.

I believe this vehicle was known to you several years ago through its second owner. He laid up the car for last 7/8 years following a bereavement. I am now only the third owner. There is a large file of history, but I am sure the one vital bit missing is an owners manual. Can you help?

G'day from Aus

Just wondering if anyone with a PAX has done any kind of a power steering conversion and if so what bits were used? I'm getting a bit weak in my old age and find the PA hard to manouvre when parking.

I have started towing a 60s fiberglass van with my 61 PA and wondered if anyone may have installed a Rover V8 in a PA. I've thought about it but we didn't get the disc brake option here for the PA and I don't want to change the front end and wheels or exterior appearance, but I would like some more grunt. I found Rover V8s into Viva GTs was popular when I was there in 2003 and thought it might be a PA option too. I'm keeping my GT standard, I don't think they need any more power!

It's probably easier to rebuild a PA motor and warm it up, but I'm considering other options too.

Hope to hear from you.

George

Dear Vauxhall Cresta Club,

I am trying to contact an old work colleague who had a showroom condition Vauxall Cresta (Tone Blue PA, Hydromatic)and lived in the Brinington area of Stockport, Manchester. I am sure this person would be a member of your organisation considering the love and care he had for his car. Unfortunatley, I cannot remember his surname, but his first name was Roy and a master bricklayer by trade and we worked together at a company in Salford, Manchester named Salisbury & Parry. I would say he will be in his 70's now. If you can help in my enquiries it would be appreciated.

My father took a Vauxhall Velox to East Africa in the early 1950s. It is his 90th Birthday later this year and we would like to hire a Vauxhall Velox to help celebrate the day in Kent. I would like to make contact with anyone owning a car of this vintage who would be willing to hire it out for the day.

Regards

Andy

I'm wondering if you can help? My dad was in the Vauxhall owners club with a PB cresta a while back when we ran the 1995 Norwich Union & RAC classic car run. At the time we had a copy of the run on video which we appeared in. Unfortunately some 14 years later and a few house moves i have lost the video.

Would you have or know of a member who has the 1995 Norwich Union & RAC classic car run on video that i could buy or purchase a copy from on video or dvd?
