Only Fools N Horses (November 16, 2009)
Vauxhall Cresta in ‘Only Fools & Horses’
The Pink Lady, was recently used in a film shoot, for a BBC one off Only Fools & Horses special called ‘Sex, Drugs & Rock ‘n’ Chips’ (an early years special).
We all met at West Hyde, near Chorleywood, and then went on Location to Chalfont St. Giles which was turned into Margate! There were some other old cars there for various scenes, and the coach for The Jolly Boys Outing. We had some pictures taken with it, and we met some of the Jolly Boys.
Our car was to be filmed outside the jeweller’s shop, which behind the scenes was actually a barbers shop. There were so many people there, and so many props, just for a little bit of filming. Our car was parked outside the jewellers shop, and Nicholas Lyndhurst who plays his dad in it, and Del Boys dad rob the jewellers shop, and it blows up, which was a bit concerning, as our car was parked outside, but they didn’t actually blow the shop up!
After a whole morning filming, it will probably only be a fleeting glance, but you never know, so look out for that flash of pink!
We didn’t get to meet them, as they were rushed in and out for the scene, but they did stop to admire the car, and I have took plenty of photos of it. It was a great day out, and I look forward to seeing it next year, about Easter time I think.
