New / Old Classic Car Tyres (February 02, 2009)
Some of you may have read in the motoring press about the tragic accident of an MG driver on a motorway. The MG suffered a blow out causing the car to overturn, killing the driver and injuring the passenger.
The tyres that were fitted to the car had been purchased from an autojumble as "never been fitted to a car" In fact the tyres were 20 years old.
Perhaps this is a lesson to us all to check to tyres more regular. Any sign of a wheel wobble etc slow down and stop at your earliest oportunity and investigate the problem.
