Nice site - Interested to see that these old stalwarts are being kept going in pretty good shape - I used my 1966 Cresta PC as the 'practice car' for the 1972 East African Safari Rally - it quickly became known as the fastest grader (road scraper in E.A !)
I have some pics if anyone is interested?
Best wishes - KM

I am feeling a bit desperate and thought I would contact you to see if you or you might know someone that could help.
I have recently had my original Vauxhall Victor FB radio stolen from my car and would desperately like to get it replaced.
Same radio as fitted to the PB Cresta.
If you can help it would be great if you could contact me on: pwood13660@blueyonder.co.uk.
Thanks for reading, Paul

Boughta PB cresta a few years back with intention of rebuild. Wife asked if it drove in.. when will it drive out!!! looking for inspiration.. Do you have any exceptions to cars updated with newer runnig gear. or altered and updated interriors.. I love the style of the car but have come from custom/hot rod background. love to hear opinions from other owners.

We once owned a green 1960 Vauxhall Velox reg VAY 483. We were just wondering if it is still in existence and how the rebuild has gone since we parted company. If anyone out there knows anything about it we would love to know.

Hi all, im an owner of a 1959 Wolseley 15/60 and a 1966 Wolseley 6/110. Im looking for my late grandfathers Vauxhall Cresta. It was light blue in colour and was last known in 1970 in the Bournemouth area.I have a photo and it seems to be a 3-piece rear window model. The registration was VCG 161. I would love to know if the car still exists in any form. The number isnt on the DVLA Taxation records but it might be hiding somewhere! Thanks.

Hello all, great to see the marque alive, being a past owner of a 1962 Velox which I, in my younger days converted to a Cresta by fitting everything except the individual front seats. She was black/grey. Only three years old and needed front wings.I now own a Triumph TR4 and have restored many a classic However not the reason I am here. Although not employed as, I am a time served Coach Trimmer and been doing the odd job for anyone. I have a rear seat back from a, I believe a PC or PB with armrest. The person now no longer wants it, The cover is off and I was about to fit a top panel in black leather. The seat is dark green and was to be stained. I hate to lose the past by dumping it. Anyone want it? e-mail me.

Can anyone help please? I would like to be able to fit a child's car seat in my 1962 PA. The child's seat has Isofix attachments (I use it in our modern car) and I wonder if any club members have experience of putting Isofix fittings rather than seatbelts in the back of a PA.
I'd be grateful for any advice please.
If Isofix is not an option I suppose we'll have to look at seatbelts.

Hi guys
Just dropped in here because I had a PA Cresta (TT Blue) waaaay back in the early 70s.
Thing is I recall there were PABXs and PABYs (mine the former). I see no mention of these codes on t'internet. Am I imagining this?
BTW I paid 15GBP for it and it ended at a scrappers unfortunately, but I do still use its rear-view mirror when underneath my Omega B!

Good to see my old PA XDL474 on the site pictures at Billing 09. I owned the car from 87-circa 94. It came from the isle of Wite originally, I bought it from a Ted in Stoke and it lived with me in the West Midlands before going South to Statford. Bought for a few hundred pounds and sold for the same. I ran it as my everyday car although it looks much better than when i had it. Too young and too skint to appreciate it, I managed to scrape it from one MOT to the next but eventually had to let it go. I had lived the dream and loved it.
Best regards Phil

I'm looking for a PB Cresta for a racing project - don't want any running gear , glass or interior , so if anybody knows of any cars that are destined for the scrap heap , let me know and i'll save it and give it a good home - so it can take on the Cortina's ! I only need a shell , doesn't matter if the floor's gone but will need all panels ( ie , boot lid bonnet and doors )I don't want to take a car off the road for this , but would like to save one . Like the website . Regards Al

I came across your wonderful website whilst searching veteran vauxhalls. Most excellent to see a two-tone yellow and white Cresta. My Grandfather had one just the same back between c1968-1972 (YSG 5) , I would love to own that plate now.

Its item number 290317516030 and its in Pontyberem, Camarthenshire. The auction has about 2 days left to run.(I would have it myself but I have not got the space for another restoration project!)
